The head of government Abdelillah Benkirane said Monday that confidence is still maintained in the national economy according to several indicators, with a projected growth of 3.4% in 2012, calling for banning the mystifying discourse showing the ?decline? of that trust.
Benkirane, speaking before the House of Representatives, said that among these indicators are particularly achieving a growth rate of 4.7% outside the agricultural area, describing the rate ?positive? given the international situation marked by a series of downward revisions to growth rates, in addition to a growing season below average.
The index of industrial production rose by 3.7%, while foreign investment has improved by 6% after a decline in recent years, said Benkirane, recalling the net number of the created jobs, namely some 112,000 between the second quarter of 2011 and the first six months of the year, and improved revenue from the income tax (plus 8%) and VAT (plus 9 %).
Benkirane, also described as ?difficult? the fallout from the global economic situation on Morocco, noting their negative impact on the national economy, which faces the large drop in external demand, especially in Europe, main partner of the United hit a recession unmatched since decades.
