Summer is a time for being outdoors, soaking up the sunshine and getting some much needed fresh air after the long, cold winter. Barbecues and garden parties are the perfect social activity at this time of year.

Yet, with the warm but wet weather we are experiencing in the UK this year, it can be tricky to find the right time to do it. There may well be beautiful, warm summer evenings, yet chances are the grass is too wet and muddy to even think about spending time in the garden, much less invite friends and neighbours to join us.

Some households are lucky enough to have a patio or decking area in the garden, and can therefore invite guests to join them on the relatively dry and stable ground. However, not all of us have the space for this, or simply don?t want to give over part of our green area to concrete. The solution is at hand, however.

Children can run around uninhibited and still head for home as clean as they arrived. Grass stains and muddy knees become a thing of the past. Barbecues and picnic tables sit firmly on the smooth surface without a wobble, and all without losing the pleasing outdoor atmosphere that green spaces provide.
