Kazakhstan to prolong ban on oil products export in 2013

ASTANA, November 15 (Itar-Tass) ? The ban on oil products export will be in force in Kazakhstan next year too, deputy director of the oil products marketing department of the company KazMunaiGaz ? Refining and Marketing Talgat Bukobayev said here on Thursday.

?As is known, the Oil and Gas Ministry introduced the ban on oil products export until the end of the current year. According to the available information, the ban will be prolonged for the next year too,? he said at the conference ?Market of oil products of Central Asia? in Astana on Thursday.

The ban on the export of some kinds of oil products, in particular light distillates and products, kerosene, except special kinds of petrol and every-day stove fuel, was introduced in Kazakhstan in 2010 with the aim of preventing the price rise in the internal market. Since that time, this ban is prolonged every year.
